I have started a small kennel where I together with my family want to breed Tibetan Terriers. All our dogs live in the house and are together with the family all the time. We live in Kungsäter, a small village north east of Varberg, see map under ”contact”. We live in a house on the country side, close to a lake and also a forest to walk and track in. The family consists of my husband, three children, six dogs, one cat and aquarium fishes. The oldest daughter has left the house, the son is on his way out and the youngest one have just started at the "gymnasium" school (Sept 07).
My interest for animals has always been great maybe because I have grown up at a farm with cows, horses and pigs. When I was a little girl we had hunting dogs, a rottweiler and a Swedish shepherd's dog (Västgötaspets) on the farm. During my teen age I got the first dog of my own, a black Labrador Retriever. I have had Tibetan Terrier since the summer 1998. My first Tibetan Terrier was a proud and very special male with the name Chilu’s Linus.
I have got
my experience as breeder during my time as co-owner in Chilu’s kennel (Tibetan
Terrier) and I have also done the Swedish Kennel clubs education of breeders.
During two years I have been a representative for the breeders in our breeders
club* committee for breeders questions.

Tibetan Terrier - Monica Andersson
My first dog is a Tibetan terrier named Rex, who I started to show 2001 as a puppy. He became a champion in 2003. We also do a lot of Junior Handling together. In Junior Handling 2006 we were qualified for the Swedish championship. This year (2007) we are qualified again. We have also done some agility. Except showing our dogs I also show my aunts Papillion.
If you need any help to show your dog, you can always contact me.
Goal with breeding
It is to breed healthy dogs that will bring happiness to there families. They should be mentally stable and wise so they fit into society of today.
If they will become very beautiful too it is just a benefit.
I want to help my puppy-buyers with everything I can therefore I arrange kennel- and puppy-meetings now and then. Besides I think it is important to follow the rules given by the Swedish Kennel Club (SKK) and TTS regarding breeding. Especial important is the ethical rules from TTS I think.
My history together with Tibetan Terrier:
In summer 1998 I got my eight month old Tibetan
Terrier Chilu’s Linus after being his week-end mistress during the
springtime together with our children.
Shows were nothing we were going to
do but, of course, we just had to watch how Linus
was doing. So the whole family - Janne, Richard, Monica and I - went to some
of his shows and ....... we are still travelling around watching show after
show. The more I worked with Linus the more
fascinated I became of him and the breed of Tibetan Terrier and therefore
I wanted to have one more
puppy very much. After some discussions we decided to buy one more
Tibetan Terrier.
When watching a show we met Anke Peine and her
marvellous dog U'Batang, I fell for him like a ton of bricks. After
further discussions and after a lot of ifs and buts there
was a mating between Chilu’s Goodnight and Khados Union Jack – OK, it was
not U’Batang but nevertheless a male from kennel
von Nama-schu (Anke Peine). The result was among other two males and we
bought both these wonderful puppies. Our
children, Richard and Monica, showed these
puppies - Chilu’s Jr Jack and Chilu’s Rex - until they became Swedish
champions in 2003. Since then it is above all Monica who has went on showing dog.
During my time with Chilu’s kennel I got
additional two Tibetan Terrier, one female named Chilu’s Good Morning
and one German male named I’Acimo Ha-Ma-Ni von Verles Ricco from
kennel Verles von Ricco (Kornelia Wedemeyer).
Other interest:
Another great interest in the family is motor biking. The majority of the family drive a motor-cycle. We have a motor-cycle with side-car so the dogs are together with us when we are on mc- and camping holidays The dogs love both to go by motor-cycle and to camp.
